Graphisoft’s BIMx is an interactive app for exploring BIM projects and linked documentation sets created in Archicad and DDScad. Please download to visualize or collaborate on architectural design projects on your mobile device(s).

BIMx offers professional building visualization with game-like navigation to explore and visualize architectural projects. BIMx features the ‘BIMx hyper-model’ – allowing non-design professionals to explore and fully understand architectural design intent, view project deliverables, and access element level BIM data. BIMx links the 3D model with the relevant 2D documentation layouts, providing a seamless way to view the 3D cutaway model in the context of a 2D layout — and vice versa.

BIMx connects the construction site with the architect’s office for streamlined collaboration. Real-time model cut-throughs, in-context measuring and project markups in the model context make BIMx your best on-site BIM companion. Drive the design narrative on the building site for fast, specific client feedback.

Probably one of the best tools available for 3d & architecture on iPads and iPhones making once again ArchiCAD&Graphisoft pioneers of intelligent BIM workflow. My clients are going to love it! Architecture_AL

If youre a nerd for architecture, this app is calling to you. The app itself features: •Easy-to-download 3D architectural renderings from the BIMx site through the app •Optional annotations •Floor Plans •Pan/Zoom on models Also, you can create your own model from a computer, publish it to the BIMx site and download it through the app! If you love architecture, theres many to choose from. If theres something you cant find, hey you can always d-i-y or get someone else to do it for you. Other than that, this app is gr8, 8/8 m8

I really cant believe how good this program is. Admittedly, Ive only had it a couple of days, but I am really amazed. Hats off to Graphisoft. Please keep it this simple and this good.

Although this a "demo" app, it gives an adequate glimpse as to the many possibilities of the Pro version. That will be my next step.

Some bad moments

I knew before downloading that this wasnt an app to make your own architectural design plans but i was curious to see the indepth design of this ONE building. Thats it. Its just an app to show you someone elses work. Dumb!!

As alwys wonder by Graphisoft. Archicad came out when Mac OS was the only real operating system ,to me it is only natural that they launch-it on the iPhone before any other 2nd grade phone OS ,it is only a sign of intelligence and professionalism instead of corporate greed and stupid reckless strategy .

It only gives you one building to look at, you cant build anything, and unless you have a Facebook account, its virtually useless.

I wanted to be able to create a building and design it and this looked like the answer to what I was looking for... But all this turned out to be was me looking at 1 demo building... The viewing is great and how to use is easy to learn but I want to build it and design it myself...

This program gave my iPod a virus. My safari worked before I open the program. Now I cant open safari. I have tried everything to fix but cant. If you want safari to never work again download this app.

This is a fantastic app for showing models in the design stage. It is true that you either need Archicad or know someone who has it to get your models into the app, or you can also walk around other peoples designs that you can download from the app. If you use a autodesk product like revit, you are going to have to convert it into a 3ds file to import it into Archicad, which can create some problems. (this may not be true for the newest version of Archicad) so I like using sketchup for early design stuff anyway. I have not had any problems doing it this way. I wish that I would have had this as a way to show my projects back in college.
